Baden-Württemberg

Baden-Württemberg is in the southwestern part of the country. This state combines the historical states of Baden, Hohenzollern and Württemberg. The state capital is Stuttgart.


District Heidelberg

The town of Heidelberg is an administrative district of its own. Although not being part of it, the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis, the rural district, which surrounds the town, has its seat in Heidelberg.

District Heilbronn

The main river in the district is the Neckar, which flows through the district from the south to the north. The western part of the district belongs to the landscape Kraichgau, the east to the Hohenloher Ebene, Kocher-Jagst-Ebene, and the Löwensteiner Berge.
